Beginning with the August 15, 1995 release we will be changing our
version numbering scheme.
The new version number will be as follows:
2.3.0
^ ^ ^
| | +-- Release number of the DAT files released with
| |     the current engine. This will be 0-9 and possibly
| |     use alphabetic characters.
| |
| +---- Release number of the scan engine. This will only change
|       if modifications have been made to the scan engine code.
|
+------ Major revision number. This will rarely change. It will
        only change if significant functional changes are made
        to the scan engine.

THIS NUMBERING SCHEME WILL TAKE AFFECT IN AUGUST 1995. IT DOES
NOT APPLY TO THIS RELEASE.

of VirusScan for DOS, VirusScan for Windows, VirusScan for OS/2 and 
VShield.

NOTE: The version number of VShield in this release is 2.2.2.
