[VAX000]0README.1ST INFORMATION REGARDING THE VAX SIG DECUS TAPES In order to get everything on two tapes, we've compressed the .OLBs, removed redundant .LIS, .LST, and .MEM files (only where the corresponding sources existed). A description of some of the files contained in [VAX000] 0README.1ST - This file. 84CDMEMO.TXT - Loading and copying instructions. AAAREADME.84C and AAAREADME.84D - The AAAREADME.TXT files from the Fall 1984 tape concatenated into one file per tape. The AAAREADME.yys files provide an overview of the contents of each tape. Almost every submission has additional documentation in AAAREADME.DOC or something else. DOC, .TXT, .MEM (or a .RNO which can be made into a .MEM with RUNOFF), or a .1ST. BUILDREAD.COM - A command file to build one large AAAREADME.nnn file from all the AAAREADME.TXT files on the directory tree. This command file checks file attributes and creates a uniform output file. COPYTREES.COM - An easy way to copy a VAX SIG tape (or tapes) from disk to tape. COPYTREES uses TREESIZE.COM and TREETAPE.COM. It uses VAXyys.SIZ if it exists or creates a new one if it does not. SUBMIT.TXT and TEMPLATE.RNO - Useful information for preparing a submission to a symposium tape. TREESIZE.COM - used by COPYTREES.COM TREETAPE.COM - used by TREETAPE.COM TREESIZES.LIS - A listing of the sizes of the various trees. VAX84FALL.DOC - A quick overview of what is in each directory.
