This WAS the main support directory for the Experimental Tools system,
that  is  used  to make new tools/utiltites available to users as they
are developed by other users.

This WAS done to reduce that duplicate effort  that  many  times  goes
into  writing  a  tool,  that  someone  else  has  already written, or
performing some task manually when someone else has automated it.
