The WHOIS utility will tell who a user is by reading the OWNER field of the SYSUAF record for a given owner. For example, the following would occur on my screen if I wanted information about a given user: $ WHOIS RUCKER User RUCKER is Mpls-Roger-Ruckert We have found this especially useful for our expanding worldwide network and usernames that are only 6 characters long (and often cryptic at that). To allow all users read access to the SYSUAF, install the image shared with SYSPRV and define the executable image as a foreign command: $ WHOIS == "$ MED$COMMON:WHOIS.EXE" Any enhancements or suggestions are appreciated.
