I discovered that Don Stern's Convert-to-SIXEL program did not work on VT125s: for some reason, the ReGIS command S(H(P[50,0])), which is supposed to make the terminal output the SIXEL map, does not work on a VT125, even though the manual and programmers card indicate that it should. I found I could make the program work on a VT125 by substituting the command S(H) which should be the same, as the manual indicates that the range [50,0] is the default. Unfortunately, I have no way to test this on a VT240, so I have included a second copy of the source as CONVERT_TO_SIXEL2.FOR so as not to mess with the original. I'd like to hear from anyone who can tell me if the modified version works on a VT240, and/or why the S(H(P[50,0])) does not work on a VT125. Also, the /ROTATE and /EXPAND qualifiers don't work on a VT125, but I'm not certain if they should (the VT125 may not have these options. B. Z.
