SIGNAL is a general purpose utility that allows you to use the VMS message utility more effectively from within DCL. With SIGNAL you can create your own message files or use existing system messages and message files to display messages to the user and control command procedure execution by issuing your own warnings, errors, or severe errors. See program description in SIGNAL.FOR for addtional information. Also, for a complete description of all the qualifiers, there is a VMS help file (SIGNAL.HLP). I have also included a demo command procedure, DEMO.COM. It isn't very fancy, but you should get an idea of how to use SIGNAL by studying the com file.
