from risc.ua.edu. Thanks to those archivers for the access.

The files in this directory are provided "as-is".  They were checked for
viruses *only*, not for functionality.  When possible, they are provided in
either LHARC (.LZH) or ZIP (.ZIP) archive format; self-extracting archives
being susceptible to hide "extra" code...

DS95    .ZIP	Hard-disk protection; sent by the author.

NOFBOOT .ZIP	NoFBoot is a small (500 byte) TSR designed to
		prevent inadvertant booting from a floppy disk. 
		With NoFBoot, a cold start (reset button or cycle power) will 
		be necessary to boot from a floppy.

FIXMBR24.ZIP	This program is designed to replace the standard MS-DOS master
		boot record program with code that does more than just find the
		active partition and jump to the O/S boot record.
		This archive contains also the latest version of SafeMBR.
		Now shareware.

CHK     .ZIP	Two utilities to check both floppy and hard disk and detect the
		"Michelangelo" virus.
		These two programs are integrity checkers.

FIXFBR11.ZIP	FixFBR is a generic anti-virus program and repair tool for
		infected and corrupted boot records on floppy disks.  FixFBR
		first checks the disk for a valid Boot Parameter Block (BPB)
		and does a generic test for infection/corruption.  Once the
		disk has been identified (and the user has an option to
		change if incorrect), the complete boot record is replaced with
		non-bootable but error checking and flagging code.  If the disk
		is wished to be made bootable, the DOS SYS command will be
		effective.

CHKINT  .ZIP	Checks the interrupts of a given program without running the
		said program.  Useful to track possible trojan horses.

FIXUTIL2.ZIP	This archive contains minor updates of the FixXXX programs.

FP-202D .ZIP	Update.  Stand alone - detection/eradication - Uploaded by
		the author on oak.oakland.edu, and fetched from there.

LOCK    .ZIP	Hard-disk protection scheme; from NZ.  Freeware
		NOTE:  this version of the program will protect *only* for
		hard disk boot, and will NOT protect against floppy boots.
		A new version is announced.

VIRX19  .ZIP	Easy to use free virus checker.  Please note that VIRX catches
		the new HYDRA virus.

ANSIKILL.ZIP	Kill embedded escape sequences which can be included into
		"comment files" in self-extracting .ZIP archives.  Contra-
		ry to STRIPZIP, the comment file is *not* removed.  Use
		against "ansi bombs".  Shareware.

VIRLAB14.ZIP	Virus simulator from Germany

I-M102B.ZIP    Integrity Master version 1.01a is an easy to use, anti-virus and
	       data integrity program.  Shareware.  Update.

AUTOSN33.ZIP	Checks archive files for viruses.  The way it works is very
		simple, all it does is un-archive any ZIP, ARC, ICE, LZH, PAK,
		or ARJ file into a work directory (\AUTOSN), then use McAffee's
		SCAN.EXE to scan it for any virus.
		The program is reasonably fast, and, better, completely automa-
		ted.  A log file is created at completion.
		This version is the shareware version; some options are removed
		from the commercial version.

SWVSAF11.ZIP	Safeword.  VirusSafe from Enigma Logig.  Fetched from
		Oak.Oakland.edu

IMMUNISE.ZIP	Immunises a fixed disk against boot sector viruses.  The
		IMMUNISE modifies the partition & boot sectors of your fixed
		disk to prevent boot sector viruses (such as the Stoned virus)
		from establishing themselves on your system.  It also helps you
		recover from some types of accidental damage to your system.

BOOTID  .ZIP	Identify a diskette's boot sector type ("hashcode").
		Use BOOTID to check the boot sector of DOS diskettes, to
		produce a 12-byte hashed identifier string based on the
		contents of the diskette's first sector.

CHECKOUT.ZIP	Display or check a diskette or Hashcode.
		Use CHECKOUT to check the boot sector of DOS diskettes, to
		produce a 12-byte hashed identifier string based on the
		contents of the diskette's first sector, identical to the
		BOOTID program, but with better descriptions and more options.
		You can also use it to explain a hashcode created elsewhere.
		The program only works with diskettes.
