This is a complete NICE example program in C, which includes a
comprehensive/generic response parser for NICE replies. You MUST get a copy of

  "DNA Phase IV Network Management Functional Specification" (AA-X437A-TK).

to do anything serious with NICE, but you can also use the undocumented logical:

	$ Assign 1 NML$LOG

and then do any NCP command. This will cause NMLSHR to dump in great detail the
NICE commands and replies - you could probably work out what to do from that.
Also, have a look in NMADEF.H.

Note that NICE is being replaced by SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol)
and CMIP (Common Management Interchange Protocol), but NICE is not bad.
