I also have a port of Perl V4.0, which works quite good for me.  Those of
you brave enough to try getting G++ and LibG++ (V1.39) to work on their
system, my VAX RDB interface might be of interest.  The latter is still
only rudimentary, but nevertheless the combination of perl and SQL makes
quite a nice report writing system.
