I cannot vouch for how well it works (or even *if* it works :-) ), but on the CMU mirror we maintain you'll find a Fortran routine written by Robert Eden that looks like a network printer (standard LPD stuff) but instead of printing the file, submits it to VMS for processing. It's on ftp.csus.edu:/pub/cmuip/contrib, filename cardreader011.share. Grab the readme file there for a tad more info. John F.
