I'm |wondering if increasing the LAT circuit timers on the hosts and terminals |(VXT2000's) would help, as there seem to be an awful lot of both LAT |duplicates received and messages retransmitted at the host end. As Jerry Leichter noted, the circuit timer has nothing to do with timeouts and retransmission. What you DO want to do if running LAT thru a lot of bridges (as we do here) is to jack up the following parameters to their maxima: KEEPALIVE TIMER to 255 seconds RETRANSMIT LIMIT to 120 seconds These parameters should be changed on both the DECserver and host sides.
