Meanwhile I did check the listings (although V5.5-2 only, since that's my "development platform"), and there really is no hope - DUDRIVER (which also manages MSCP-served UCBs) won't even support dual-pathing "local" disks that it drives itself (all it does is declaring the "secondary" network path permanently un-usable). Maybe the new SCSI-Cluster code has better support for multi-path configurations - I don't have 7.1 listings (yet?). I'll have to content myself with using two slightly different VD*DRIVER variants: one will go the "DAD" route, i.e. support any number of _local_ connections to the physical storage, but inhibit MSCP serving (BTW, which VMS versions do support DEV$M_NOCLU?); the other will allow MSCP serving, but not multiple paths. >[...] > ftp://GWDW04.GWDG.DE/VMS/NDFP0540.README > ftp://GWDW04.GWDG.DE/VMS/NDFP0540.ZIP Just in case "VAX1" is down (readers of completely different threads might figure out what I mean :-) - its [.VMS] directory is mirrored on ftp://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/vms/ Wolfgang J.
