Some highlights: - Full STD 53 (RFC 1939) compliant POP3 server - Multithreaded, processes up to 30 concurrent client connections - Runs from OpenVMS VAX 5.2 upwards (and of cause on ALPHA's) - Supports UCX and NETLIB TCP/IP - Can be compiled with DECC, VAXC or GNUC (also binary distributions available) - Detects intrusion activities (OpenVMS 6.1 VAX or 6.2 alpha required) - Optimized download speed both for slow serial and fast ethernet connections. - Many run-time configurable options for message processing, security and performance considerations. - Supports messages with long records created from current MX versions History: IUPOP3 was originally written at Indiana University by Jacob Levanon and Larry Hughes. Unfortunatly the Indiana University dropped the development after version 1.8-1. IUPOP3 V2.0 (called V1.9 during beta phase) was written in my spare time under the great help from many members of the iupop3-users@indiana.edu mailing list. All copyright restrictions of IUPOP3 V1.8-1 applies still to V2.0. Further informations are available on http://www.tci.uni-hannover.de/extrakt/pop.html If no WWW access is available the source code distribution can be received by sending the line sendme IUPOP3_V2_0 in the body of a mail send to FileServ@cat.tci.uni-hannover.de .
