Seems that Digital is keeping this information secret although they say that they will no longer support the product :-( Up to know this is what I found out so far, but actually I would like to know the full layout (with some explanations if possible). Record: 204 bytes each 0- 31 : OpenVMS filename 32- 63 : Macintosh long name 64- 76 : Macintosh short name 77- 80 : FTYP 81- 84 : Creator 85- 86 : Finder flags 87- 88 : Icon Position (X coordinate) FFFF = default position 89- 90 : Icon Position (Y coordinate) FFFF = default position 91-108 : **** Unknown 109-140 : Desktop File Name 141-144 : **** Fixed Dir ID (from analyse/rms), don't know meaning 145-148 : **** Int. Ass. File Nr. (from analyse/rms), don't know meaning 149-157 : **** Unknown 158-161 : File length (only non zero when file created from Mac 162-165 : **** Unknown 166-169 : Modification date (not always filled in) 170-203 : **** Unknown Well if anybody could give me a program which inserts/extracts Macbinary files from/to a Pathworks for Macintosh exported Appleshare volume on VMS I would even be more happy.
