Lee Nichols has created versions of these disks with the newer slushware that works on DECmate II/III/III+, they're available from ftp://ftp.dbit.com/pub/pdp8/images/block. The files in this directory do not require Teledisk, they're in a form which can be copied directly to RX50s on a PDP-11 or VAX, or written using the PUTR utility on PCs (available from the same site). Note that the equivalent files in the ".../images/sector" directory are all protected because I got sick of everyone blindly downloading both versions instead of figuring out which one they'll be able to write to floppies. If you really need the "sector" images (see the READMEs to see what I mean by "block" and "sector" images), drop me a line and I'll unprotect them. >Several >compilers exist (or existed...might be hard to lay hands on them >if nobody's saved them)... os/278 came with an assembler or two, >and there was Pascal The Pascal compiler that showed up surprisingly late in the DECUS library (long after new PDP-8 software stopped appearing) is also on ftp.dbit.com, in source form anyway.
